Salary: $110,000 to $140,000

Our mission is to stand with bravery next to as many immigrants as possible to fight and protect their ability to live, work, and thrive in the United States. We are a law firm for immigrants by immigrants. We represent clients nation-wide and focus on issues around asylum, citizenship, family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, deportation defense, temporary protection status, green cards, waivers and consular processing.

We provide advice and representation not only to individuals, but also to businesses on all family-based visa scenarios, green cards, and various state and federal filings. Basically put – we’re all about immigration.

Your New Role

The ideal candidate must be committed to advocating for client’s rights and have a strong desire to help change people’s lives. This is a leadership position. You will have the following accountabilities:

·         Demonstrate expertise in handling complex federal litigation cases.

·         Extensive legal research and proficiency in crafting persuasive briefs and motions.

·         Ability to meticulously prepare for trials and/or oral argument.

·         Effective management of multiple federal litigations cases concurrently.

·         Ensuring timely execution of case development.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a J.D. degree from a School of Law accredited by the American Bar Association
  • Must be an active member in good standing of the Washington bar state, territory of the United States.
  • At least 5 years of experience post J.D. relevant to litigation experience in federal courts.
  •  Experience in trial advocacy, legal research, and writing.
  • Strong understanding of federal laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of federal procedure and courtroom protocol.
  • Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
  • Persuasiveness and reasoned judgement.
  • Complex case management skills.
  • Experience in immigration/appellate law is highly desired, but no required.
  • A writing sample consisting of legal brief or comparable legal writing authored by the applicant is required.

  • Assist with budget monitoring, inspection, and recordkeeping.

  • Perform accounting operations across AR, AP, and GL with high accuracy.

  • Process payments, manage vendors, and track expenses.

  • Assist with financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
