Case Processing Assistant

  • Modality: Remote (Home Office)
  • Pay: 1200 USD per month
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM Pacific Time

We represent clients nationwide and focus on asylum, citizenship, family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, deportation defense, TPS, green cards, waivers, and consular processing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct introductory calls with clients and document information in the internal system.
  • Communicate with clients regularly and provide timely updates.
  • Review case status consistently and ensure accurate notes in the internal platform.
  • Verify and request required case materials from clients or third parties.
  • Draft and prepare initial versions of letters, forms, and documents to advance cases.
  • Assemble and review case packets for completeness and accuracy before sending them to the Case Coordinator.
  • Prepare client briefs and supporting documentation for appointments.
  • Update and maintain case records in the internal system with accuracy.
  • Translate during client meetings when needed.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Case Coordinator for guidance.
  • Support internal process improvements and team collaboration.

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of this skilled labor position

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a J.D. degree from a School of Law accredited by the American Bar Association
  • Must be an active member in good standing of the Washington bar state, territory of the United States.
  • At least 5 years of experience post J.D. relevant to litigation experience in federal courts.
  • Experience in trial advocacy, legal research, and writing.
  • Strong understanding of federal laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of federal procedure and courtroom protocol.
  • Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
  • Persuasiveness and reasoned judgement.
  • Complex case management skills.
  • Experience in immigration/appellate law is highly desired, but no required.
  • A writing sample consisting of legal brief or comparable legal writing authored by the applicant is required.
