Join our team as a File Clerk and become the custodian of our valuable documents, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the search and retrieval of key information. Demonstrate your administrative skills and make a difference in our team!"
The Quiroga Law Office, PLLC was founded in 2009. Our mission is to stand with bravery beside as many immigrants as possible and protect their ability to live, work, and thrive in the United States. We are a law firm for immigrants, by immigrants, representing clients nationwide in asylum, citizenship, family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, deportation defense, TPS, green cards, waivers, and consular processing.
We work as a coordinated, process-driven team and place a high value on structure, clarity, and accountability. If you like things to be organized, documented, and precise, you will fit in here.
As our File Clerk, you will keep our documentation accurate, organized, and accessible so cases can move forward without delays. You will:
Manage daily document and correspondence workflow: receive, classify, index, and upload documents into our internal case management system, and handle incoming channels (email, fax, and other digital sources), prioritizing urgent items.
Organize and archive digital documentation so it can be found quickly and reliably, keeping records current and easy to search.
Support attorneys and staff by ensuring they have the right documents, in the right place, at the right time, and by guiding them through filing and documentation processes when needed.
Manage and submit FOIA, FBI, and EOIR requests, following established procedures and timelines.
When necessary, communicate with clients regarding required documentation or missing information.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys order, accuracy, and consistency, and understands that well-managed files are essential to strong legal work.
Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field (required).
Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital file management.
Proven ability to follow procedures, work with checklists, and maintain detailed records.
Highly detail-oriented: you notice inconsistencies, missing documents, and incorrect labels.
Disciplined and reliable: you follow through, close loops, and keep systems updated.
Results-oriented, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement in how documents are handled.
Comfortable collaborating with others and communicating clearly with both teammates and clients.
Alignment with our immigration-focused mission and respect for the people and stories behind every file.
